A joint event and something highly relevant to everyone, particularly those working within the built environment due to the significantly above average suicide rates within the construction industry for people working in all sectors and at different levels.
Rich Bell from Community Links is going to be leading this session that will help everyone attending to:
- Understand the concept of mental health
- Have identified potential symptoms of mental ill health
- Feel more confident responding to concerns
- Be aware of support options and further training available
This is planned to be a lively and engaging session which will be genuinely useful to all attend with a mix of theory and practical measures that you can take to help you be aware of others who are potentially experiencing mental health issues and give you tools and resources to address them.
This is a free event open to all working within and having an interest in the built environment and is jointly hosted by the Yorkshire branches of the IStuctE, CIAT, CIOB and CIBSE while Leeds Beckett University and Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber are providing their excellent facilities at Leeds Beckett University, Rose Bowl building, RB313 (3rd Floor)
